In the fall…

4 chopped organic apples

4 chopped organic pears 

2T pumpkin pie spice 

2T cinnamon

¼ cup coarsely chopped walnuts (optional) 

3T raisins (optional)

3T dried cranberries (optional)

1t ginger (optional)

Coat apples and pears with spices.  Pour into baking dish and bake 350 for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Can also be cooked in crock pot.

Also pictured are baked apples.  Chop any amount of apples.  Coat apples with judicious amount of cinnamon.  Bake 350 for about 45 minutes or in crock pot on high for about 3 hours.  Both fruit of the season and baked apples make a great side dish or topping on granola or oatmeal.
